Warranty Policy

Retail Theft Control does not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury, loss or damage sustained by the buyer however arising. Retail Theft Control offers you a unique plain English two-year replacement parts warranty against faults or failures caused by faulty workmanship.

The above warranty is dependent on:

A: The items concerned having not been altered or repaired without the technical attention of RTC.

 

B: The items have not been used other than for the purpose for which they were installed.

 

C: Please refer to the returns policy of RTC before sending items to RTC.

Retail Theft Control does not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury, loss or damage sustained by the buyer however arising.

 

Returns Policy

How to return your defective Retail Theft Control products:

  • Please contact our customer service team to discuss your situation and for the issue of a return authority (RA) number. All returns must have a RA number.
  • Any item that is returned to Retail Theft Control without an RA number will be returned to sender.
  • Please ensure that your RA number is clearly displayed on the return packaging and include a copy of the invoice issued at the time of purchase.
  • For defective products the return must be received by Retail Theft Control within (14) fourteen days of the RA number being issued.
  •  A 15 percent re-stocking fee will apply to goods that are non-warranty returns.
  • Freight costs to return items to RTC is the responsibility of the customer.
  • Retail Theft Control will pay all freight charges associated with sending replacement products to you.
  • Replacement product(s) will be shipped only after the faulty item has been received by Retail Theft Control.

Delivery Instructions and Time Frames

Subject to stockavailability, orders shall be dispatched within (2) business days once Retail Theft Control has received your payment.

All freight costs will be borne by the purchaser and are not refundable. These costs may include insurance, import and export duties, and any other fees or charges imposed by government agencies or officials.

Retail Theft Control is responsible for any loss or damage to the goods that occurs' in transit when the goods are being delivered by Australian Air Express, TNT Road or TNT International, provided that the Buyer does not accept the damaged goods from the freight carrier.

When one of the mentioned above freight carriers "Authority To Leave" form has been provided and signed by the Buyer, the Buyer is considered to have accepted delivery of the goods once the goods have been delivered to the delivery address, even if the goods are left without obtaining a signature from the Buyer or other person at the delivery address.

Once the Buyer accepts delivery of the goods from the freight carrier, Retail Theft Control shall no longer be liable for any damage to the goods that has occurred in transit.

The Buyer is responsible for any loss or damage to the goods that occurs in transit when the goods are being delivered by Australian Express Post, or by any other means of delivery.

Goods lost or damaged intransit are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty or any other warranty.

Retail Theft Control shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, or other expenses incurred directly or indirectly as the result of Retail Theft Control failing to dispatch the goods in the dispatch time frame detailed above, or as the result of the freight carrier used for delivery failing to meet any estimated or quoted delivery deadline.

Retail Theft Control must be notified of any change of address of the Buyer prior to the goods being dispatched for delivery. Non-arrival or incorrect delivery of goods, and/or the cost of return and/or redelivery of goods, as the result of a failure of the Buyer to notify Retail Theft Control of a change of address, or due to the Buyer providing an incorrect address, are the responsibility of the Buyer.

Payment of any redelivery fee that is imposed by the freight carrier as a result of no authorised person being at the delivery address at the time of delivery to accept the delivery is the responsibility of the Buyer.
